Form equal sized balls of ground breakfast sausage
Place in fridge for 30 minutes or longer
After at least 30 minutes, heat the griddle or skillet over medium-high heat
Add sausage ball to skillet, and allow to cook undisturbed for 30 seconds.
Place parchment paper on the bottom of the burger smasher
Using a burger smasher, smash the ball into a thin patty
Allow the sausage patty to sear for 2 minutes (until edges start to brown)
Flip the sausage patty and cook for 1 minute
Remove the sausage patty and allow to cool for 2 minutes before serving
Fried Egg
Spray the rim of the mason jar lid or comparable culinary ring
Place lid or ring in pan and heat over medium-low heat
Crack egg inside of lid or ring
Cover, and allow to cook until yolk is cooked to your preference *
Remove lid or ring with corner of spatula

*cover, and allow to cook until yolk is cooked to your preference (about 2-3 minutes for runny yolk, 4 minutes or more for firmer yolk.)* If you do not have a Burger Smasher, you can use an equivalent item. A wide spatula will work, or get creative and use a metal plate etc.
